We’re hiring a senior data visualization developer to join our visualizations team (4-5 days per week).
We’re looking for someone with multi-year practical experience in building web-based interactive data visualizations as well as a solid background in information visualization theory. A basic background in cartography is a plus.

We welcome applicants with an innovative and open mindset who can prototype ideas quickly. You can join remotely (in the timezones around Berlin, so GMT, CET or EET) or get a desk in our Berlin office.
This role will particularly focus on front-end data visualization rendering and display. That includes building new visualization types, extending the customization options of our existing visualizations, and building reusable components for different needs.
Visualizations created with Datawrapper reach over 200 million unique visitors every month and get viewed billions of times. Our chart editor is used by tens of thousands of users — writers, statisticians, data scientists, public servants, financial analysts, and many more. But our most prominent and visible customers are newsrooms. Datawrapper is used by data visualization teams at organizations like The New York Times, The Washington Post, Reuters, and many more.
We build and support Datawrapper with a team of 26 people, which gives everyone a critical and important role in shaping the future of our company.
